Cleaning Sterling Silver Jewellery with foil and Bicarbonate of Soda

  1. Line a baking dish with tin foil – shiny side up
  2. Boil 235ml water
  3. Put 1 tablespoon of Bicarbonate of Soda* in the dish.
  4. Add 110ml White Vinegar* – very slowly to avoid too much fizzing.
  5. Add the boiling water.
  6. Put the jewellery in the dish so that no pieces are touching, and they are all in contact with the foil.
  7. Soak 30 seconds
  8. Remove jewellery with tongs.
  9. Rinse and buff

*Only use this on Sterling Silver as it may damage other types of Silver.
